VH1 Storytellers empezó en 1996 con una íntima actuación televisiva de Ray Davis y Elvis Costello. Durante los siguientes años muchos cantantes y autores aparecieron en el show, actuando en directo ante el público mientras contaban las historias de su música y su memoria. David Bowie apareció en el show el 23 de agosto de 1999.

El sistema PAL NO ES COMPATIBLE con NTSC. Para ver un DVD PAL en un país cuya norma es NTSC es necesario tener un reproductor DVD multinorma (NTSC/PAL), los equipos más recientes suelen estar preparados (pero no todos lo son).
De esta manera, por ejemplo, si resides en México o Estados Unidos (la norma de televisión es NTSC) debes comprobar si tus aparatos son capaces de reproducir un DVD en sistema PAL antes de efectuar tu compra ya que no se efectuarán cambios o devoluciones por este motivo.
El sistema PAL es válido para Europa, Argentina, Uruguay y Brasil, entre otros países.
